Enrolments have started - check your inbox!

1/2/2016

The first round of offers for places in our school has been sent. If you have a child pre-enroled to start with us, in any class, in September 2016, please keep checking our Intake 2016 page, where we post updates about enrolments.

If you expected to receive an email from us but haven't, please don't panic. We are aware of a technical glitch that means emails to hotmail addresses are showing up in our system as sent but have not arrived to their destination. If this is the case for you, just let us know and we will re-send it or print the letter for you.

We are working on manually re-sending each one.

Enrolment season is here!

30/1/2016

February is a very exciting month as we start to enrol children to join us next September!

On Monday 1st February, every family that has a child pre-enroled for September 2016 should receive an email from us, letting them know whether we can offer them a place for their child or not. If you have pre-enroled and do not hear from us, it is vitally important that you get in touch with us immediately.

All the updates can be found on our Intake 2016 page.

Teaching of Belief Systems

27/12/2015

In late 2014, a committee was formed to evaluate the treatment of Belief Systems at Citywest ETNS. The committee worked to compose a survey that could be used to gauge parent opinion in relation Belief Systems. This survey was circulated to all parents and recommendations were made based upon the findings of the survey.

These recommendations were shared with the Board of Management and have been effected for the academic year 2015/2016. They have been published on our 'Our Ethos' page.

We welcome further feedback from the school community in relation to this document, or the teaching of Belief Systems more generally. Please visit the Ethos page to read more and to share your thoughts with us.

End of Term Assembly

22/12/2015

Today we had our first Whole School Assembly of the year. We held it in the new PE hall, which was more than large enough to accommodate us all comfortably. Caitríona spoke to us briefly, before each class grouping had a chance to sing for the rest of the school.
We tried a new way of showing our appreciation after a performance - we did a sign language round of applause - this is done by waving your hands in the air rather than clapping.
We have now finished up for the term. We look forward to seeing you all in the New Year.
