The building crew and school staff are busy putting the finishing touches to our fabulous new wing ahead of our grand opening tomorrow!
We can't wait to show it off to everyone!
We look forward to welcoming the families of children in Junior and Senior Infants at 12 o'clock and the families of children in 1st, 2nd and 3rd classes at 1.30pm.
Our schedule for the day is as follows:
In the morning, Dylan and Ava, two of our Senior Infant pupils, will cut the ribbon and allow us into our new wing. This event will be attended by Eldon's and Aoife's classes and will be live-streamed into all of the other classes. We will post the video of the event here on our website later in the day.
After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, all of our pupils will get the first tours of the school, with every class visiting by 11am.
The children in 1st, 2nd and 3rd classes will then have their disco, finishing before 12pm.
At 12pm, parents and families of children in Junior and Senior Infants are welcome to join us for a tour of the new wing, while the children are out at play. With the children due back to their classes after 12.15pm, we will be asking parents and families to retire to the new meeting room for refreshments. They will be joined in the PE hall around 12.30pm by their children, where we will all dance our socks off for half an hour or so, before parents bring their children to collect their coats and bags and head home.
At 1.30pm, parents and families of children in older classes (1st, 2nd and 3rd classes) are welcome to enjoy some refreshments in our new meeting room. They will be joined at 1.45pm by their children, who will lead them on a tour of the new wing.
We are so proud to show off this amazing new space for our school and we really hope you will join us on this special day.
