School-Home Communication

Most home-school communication for our school is electronic - via our website, via e-mail and via text.

Please make sure to check our website and your e-mail regularly so that you keep up-to-date. Once you have read an e-mail from us, please click to acknowledge receipt so that we know you have received it.

While we aim to reduce the number of paper notes sent home, there will be times when it is necessary. If you think you may have missed a note, please check with Nicola, our school secretary, either in person or via e-mail.

It is your responsibility to make sure that we have up-to-date contact details for you. Please use the button below to let us know if any details have changed.

27th June: Email to parents of children moving into 2nd, 3rd and 4th classes - 3rd notification about book list expenses

Email sent to parents of children moving into 2nd and 3rd classes
Dear parents and guardians,
I am so sorry to have to email you a third time about book lists.
Following feedback on the first book list we sent, we decided to include the ISBN numbers of the books in the second notification in order to help parents. Unfortunately, though we got the ISBN correct, we got the name of one of the books wrong. The dictionary we are hoping the children will all have is the Oxford Children’s English Dictionary (Irish Edition, CJ Fallon), for which the ISBN is 9780714415307.
If this confusion has caused added expense for any family, please come and talk with me.
Thank you for your support and understanding. I really hope that we have it right this time - if we don't, please let me know and we will try again! Like we say to the children, when you make a mistake, acknowledge it and keep on trying your best - I guess that's all any of us can do!
Best regards,
Caitriona Hand,
Principal,
Citywest ETNS.
