School-Home Communication

Most home-school communication for our school is electronic - via our website, via e-mail and via text.

Please make sure to check our website and your e-mail regularly so that you keep up-to-date. Once you have read an e-mail from us, please click to acknowledge receipt so that we know you have received it.

While we aim to reduce the number of paper notes sent home, there will be times when it is necessary. If you think you may have missed a note, please check with Nicola, our school secretary, either in person or via e-mail.

It is your responsibility to make sure that we have up-to-date contact details for you. Please use the button below to let us know if any details have changed.

6th March 2018 - Email to all families: Access arrangements for Citywest ETNS this week

6/3/2018

Dear parents and guardians,
Thank you for your patience and support this week. Citywest ETNS will reopen tomorrow, Wednesday 7th March.
There were workmen and machinery on site all day yesterday up to 11pm last night and there again up to 10am this morning. They managed to clear a drop-off lane through the campus as well as pedestrian access. We are now working on clearing up damage done by the storm internally and will be ready to reopen tomorrow morning.
This means that there is no parking on site, not even for staff or for permit holders. We will be able to allow cars access in order to use the drop-off facility and we will have staff from both schools in the car park assisting with that up to 9am each morning this week. School buses and permit holders will all be using the drop-off facility and will take longer to unload than the cars that usually use drop-off do. This will result in a backlog and we expect the campus and the roads outside our campus to be extremely busy so please walk or take the LUAS to school this week if at all possible.
The yard has not been cleared of snow and so we cannot allow children to wait in the yard before 8.30am. If you arrive on foot before 8.30am, please wait at the front door of the school. Do not arrive by car before 8.30am. Do not leave children unsupervised on the school campus before 8.30am.
If you must drive, aim to arrive between 8.30am and 8.40am. Allow extra time for getting to your next destination. Drive carefully. Give priority to pedestrians. Do not park anywhere on the school campus. Use the drop-off facility only.
For collection in the afternoon, please remember that there is no parking on campus. We understand that this poses difficulty but there is nothing we can do about this. Please allow plenty of time to walk to the school to collect your child(ren). We will not be allowing any cars on campus in the afternoon, other than those with permits. The children for these cars will be waiting for them at the drop-off zone with their SNA. I will email these families separately. If you have a permit and don't get a separate email from me, please get in touch with me today.
Again, thanks to all for your ongoing patience and understanding. I look forward to seeing the children again tomorrow.
Kind regards,
Caitriona Hand,
Principal.
