School-Home Communication

Most home-school communication for our school is electronic - via our website, via e-mail and via text.

Please make sure to check our website and your e-mail regularly so that you keep up-to-date. Once you have read an e-mail from us, please click to acknowledge receipt so that we know you have received it.

While we aim to reduce the number of paper notes sent home, there will be times when it is necessary. If you think you may have missed a note, please check with Nicola, our school secretary, either in person or via e-mail.

It is your responsibility to make sure that we have up-to-date contact details for you. Please use the button below to let us know if any details have changed.

Dear parents and guardians,
Thank you so much to those who came to our Information Evening last week. We were delighted to see so many there. When we work together, we can do great things and we can provide even richer learning experiences for our children!
As mentioned that evening, our Board of Management are seeking people for the following roles:
1. Strategic Planning - we want to create a plan to outline where we see our school in 5 years time. This will be a consultative process. We have members of the Board of Management and members of staff ready and willing to work together to oversee the creation of this. We just need one or two parents! It is not a long-term commitment. The task will be completed before the end of this school year. Are you interested in helping to shape the future of our school? If so, let us know by replying to this email.

2. Community Nominees to our Board of Management - following the stepping down of two members of our Board of Management earlier this year, following long service to our school, we are seeking two Community Nominees to work on our Board of Management. These people cannot be parents of children in the school and neither can they be staff members of the school. While we would love to find people who have skills and/or experience in one or more of the areas of finance, legal, construction and HR, we would be happy to meet with anyone whose life view fits with the ethos of the school and who is interested in working with us. Please consider asking your neighbours, work colleagues and other acquaintances whether they are interested. They can phone the office or email us at news@citywestetns.ie to let us know.
Wishing you a lovely week,
Caitriona.
