School-Home Communication

Most home-school communication for our school is electronic - via our website, via e-mail and via text.

Please make sure to check our website and your e-mail regularly so that you keep up-to-date. Once you have read an e-mail from us, please click to acknowledge receipt so that we know you have received it.

While we aim to reduce the number of paper notes sent home, there will be times when it is necessary. If you think you may have missed a note, please check with Nicola, our school secretary, either in person or via e-mail.

It is your responsibility to make sure that we have up-to-date contact details for you. Please use the button below to let us know if any details have changed.

Storm Ophelia
Wow, what a start to the week that was! I hope that everyone in our community survived the storm without trauma.
Thank you so much to you all for your cooperation and understanding throughout.
I must mention a special Thank You to teachers Aoife and Orla who took over communications when my own home's electricity and connectivity went for 24 hours. Thanks also to our Chairperson Austin O'Sullivan who made himself available at all times of the morning, evening and weekend to ratify decisions to open or close the school. Thanks to the trojan workers at Aladdin, our communications providers, who worked non-stop on Sunday to make sure every school could get their texts through to families. The staff at the Department of Education, Educate Together Head Office, Irish Primary Principals' Network, the principal of CSCNS next door, Kidorama and providers of our after-school activities and evening exercise classes all worked through Sunday and then through the storm, supporting each other and working together. It was a wonderful display of community, of everyone coming together to keep everyone safe and informed, and I was proud to be a part of it.
Most of all, thanks to John, our caretaker, who bravely volunteered to be the first person back on campus yesterday to assess the damage. Thankfully, all was fine!
