The Parents' Association would like to say a huge thank you to all of the staff and members of the Board of Management for all of their hard work this year!
Please join us in giving the gift of thanks by adding your comments below to share with the staff team! The Parents’ Association is delighted to be leading the “Be a Chef” element of December’s Creative Fortnight!
We have lots of tasty ideas simmering away but for now, we are asking you to share with us your favourite recipe! Whether this is a tasty treat, or something more hearty, we would love to hear about it! We will share as many of these recipes as we can on the school website so that we can all try something new during Creative Fortnight. We will also be inviting you to submit photos of your best bakes & delicious dishes but for now we ask that you send your recipe (please include the name of your dish, ingredients and method and be sure to share any special information about it - perhaps it’s a dish native to a particular country, something that’s eaten on a special day in the year or maybe it’s the perfect treat for those with food allergies). You can either post it as a comment on our Facebook group or email to citywestetns.parents@gmail.com. We can’t wait to see your ideas! Join us at 8pm on Tuesday November 3rd for the AGM of the Parents Association. As this meeting will be short we will run straight into the next meeting of the Parents Association also.
Topics to be discussed on the night include: - How our community can support others - Creative Fortnight - Collaboration with Students Council - PA Communications We were delighted that so many joined us for our first meeting back & we look forward to meeting with you again! Join us for the first PA meeting of the new school year on Wednesday 30th September at 8.00pm on Zoom, check your email for login details.
This is a first for all of us so we are looking forward to connecting online! Items for discussion will include: * PA Drop Off Service * Ways to support our community * Information campaign * Themed fortnights * Evening talk As our meetings have to take place online for the moment this is a great opportunity to attend and get to know or reconnect with others in our community! Check out our amazing info poster created by the very talented Siobhán Schnittger! The key messages are ones we already know but it’s so important that we continue to follow them: - Always wear a face covering on campus where possible; - Follow social distancing guidelines & markers; - Only enter the campus when required; and - Support one another! ![]() We know how important connection is within our community, that’s why this year the Parents Association has put together a team of Parent Buddies for those families new to our school! Each day this week our Buddies will introduce themselves - please do get in touch with any of our team on our Parents Association Facebook Group or by email: citywestetns.parents@gmail.com if you have any questions that we may be able to answer! Meet the buddy team: My name is Jessica, I’m a PA Buddy for older classes and Chair of the Parents Association. My daughters Amelia and Olivia are in Second Class and Senior Infants, and my little boy Alex will be joining them in the school in a few years time. We live in Clondalkin but the trip is worth it for such a great school! If you have any questions at all please don’t hesitate to get in touch Good morning everyone. I'm a member of the Parents Association buddy initiative. I'm a mother of one daughter Ava, who is going into fifth class this school year. As a parent of a child who has transferred to Citywest ETNS in the recent past, I understand how it feels to be new, and also how it feels to embrace the wonderful Educate Together ethos. It's been a fantastic transfer and experience for Ava, who loves her school. The Citywest ETNS community is always willing to help, and your child/children are in extremely good hands! The school faculty and staff go above and beyond for their students and they really care about the children's overall development and safety. At the moment, I will be available to contact online. Please don't hesitate to get in touch if I can help, in any way. Huge congratulations and welcome to all families beginning their exciting journey at Citywest ETNS today. Best of luck to children, teachers and all the staff returning to school. Enjoy, stay safe and have fun! Hello! I’m Siobhán, mammy to Ollie who’s heading into Senior Infants and Edie who will be joining him in Citywest Educate Together in a couple of years time. I’m one of the PA Buddies this year, so If you see us about the place be sure to say hi and if you have any questions at all, don’t hesitate to ask! Hi everyone, My name is Brian and I'm one of the "Buddies" for parents who are new to C.E.T.N.S. We live in Tallaght and have 2 kids, Fiachra and Gráinne, Fiachra is starting Senior Infants and is very excited about seeing his friends again after such a long break. Gráinne is starting preschool. Anyhoo, if anybody wants to get in touch with me with any questions I will do my best to answer them and if I can't answer then I can find out for you or I can point you in the right direction. Welcome! Hiya I'm Amy, we joined the school last year and live in Rathcoole. I've got 3 children. Cillian is starting Senior infants, Rosie is starting Junior infants and Rebecca is starting preschool. Feel free to get in touch if there's anything I might be able to help you with
