Have you ever heard of the Global Goals for Sustainable Development? They are a renewal of the Millenium Development Goals - a list of targets the United Nations has established to address some of the greatest challenges the Earth is currently facing.
The Global Goals were launched on 25th September, and as part of a Global Initiative, Minister for Education and Skills Jan O'Sullivan, T.D., has asked every school in the country to participate in the World's Largest Lesson.
As a part of our Learn Together curriculum, we continually strive to explore human rights, promote and activate equality, as well as instill in the children a sense of global citizenship. For that reason, we are proud to support the Global Goals and look forward to teaching the children all about them this week. Be sure to ask your child about them, and discuss them in more depth at home!
