This page is one of a suite of pages to support families learning at home during Covid-19. We hope this page helps you to connect with other families so that you can maintain friendships.
Consent for Aladdin Connect
Aladdin Connect has a host of features. As we are all learning so much at the moment, we will proceed slowly with rolling out the different features.
We outlined these features in our email to you last November. At that time, a parent raised a GDPR concern and we have been working with Aladdin since to resolve those. We are now satisfied that they are resolved.
Of most interest at this time is the feature to share your contact details with other parents. It is important for children to see their friends and we hope that you will give them the chance to phone and/or video message their friends over the next 4 months.
Parents of older children in particular are encouraged to remind your child about online safety procedures. Adult supervision on devices is important.
Be kind and be careful, just as you would when meeting face to face.
Connecting to Aladdin Connect does not automatically share your details with other parents. After you log into the app, you will need to go to that feature and decide what information you want to share, if any.
Note for parents living separately
Hiding a child's address from the other parent is something that can only be done by the school. Please tick that box carefully in the consent box below so that we do not inadvertently share your address with your child's other parent, if that is something you are keeping from them.
