Citywest Educate Together School Community

Community is hugely important to all of us here at Citywest ETNS. All members of our school community work hard at communicating with one another and at supporting one another, as well as at working together to develop our school and, most importantly, at furthering the education and personal development of those most precious to us all - our pupils!

In this section, you can learn a little more about the different groups that make up our little community.

  • Our Board of Management is responsible for the management of the school.

  • Our staff are responsible for the day-to-day work of the school, taking care of our pupils and supporting their education.

  • Our Parents Association work hard at supporting the school, in particular supporting the parents and their involvement in the school. Always thinking ahead, we have a group of parents advocating for an Educate Together Second-level school in Citywest, who need all the support they can get.

  • Our Student Council represent the pupils of the school and communicate the needs and wants of the pupils to school management, as well as organizing new initiatives for the pupils of the school.

  • The children in each Class are, of course the reason we're all here!

  • Our families are the backbone of our community, entrusting their children to our care. We recognise parents as the primary educators of their children and we work together to develop that.

  • Another important group in our community is our after-school class providers, who enhance the school experience and provide great choice of activity for the children.

  • We also very much value the wider community and continue to make new contacts and friends in the area.

  • The Department of Education is responsible for all schools. Their Inspector was very pleased with us when she visited.

  • Educate Together is our Patron, setting the ethos of the school, giving guidance to the Board of Management and setting the curriculum for Ethical Education in our school.
