Sarah Young

The book I am reviewing is:
Dogman: Fetch-22 by Dav Pilkey

The book I am reviewing is Dogman Fetch-22 by Dav Pilkey. It is about a fairy called The Fair Fairy who got fired from her job. She gets lots of baby tadpoles that called her "Momma" and they have super brain powers. Dogman has to beat the Fair Fairy. It is an amazing book because there's lots of good and funny stuff in it. I will give it 5 out of 5!

Thank you for sending in your recommendation Sarah! This book sounds like it's BURSTING with excitement! I love the idea a of dog as a super hero! A fantastic recommendation- well done!

Adam Jeziorski

The book I am reviewing is:
Killer T

I really like this book because it is in the near future and not very far fetched. The author uses some very good techniques to keep the book interesting for example⁚ The author switches between the 2 characters every couple of chapters and he skips 2 years every 150 pages to keep the story interesting. This is my favorite book and i would rate it 10 out of 10. I recommend this book to children who are 12 years or over.

Thanks for sending in your recommendation Adam! I'd love to know how Robert Muchamore interpreted the future in this book! A fantastic recommendation- well done!

Shooting for the Stars by Norah Patten

This is one if my favourite books! There are so many interesting facts about space travel, like how a flame burns in space, or where astronauts go to the bathroom. It's a great book with a lot of information like that. It is mainly about Nora's journey to become an astronaut. She began preparing at my age! I feel so inspired by Nora following her dreams. Even people who don't want to be astronauts, can still have her as a role model. She followed her ambition, even though some may have thought it was impossible. She found it really hard in her first year in college but she came through it in the end and overcame any difficult times in her training. She did everything she had to do, to persue her dreams and now they are almost about to come true. Nora is now a candidate for going into space with mission PoSSUM (that's Polar Suborbital Science in the Upper Mesosphere). Nora will be doing research and experiments on spaceflights that don't travel around the earth but go further. She will be Ireland's first astronaut! I'll be cheering her on when that day comes! I met Nora on my birthday in Explorium and she was so nice to me. A lot of people were waiting to talk to her and she was so friendly. When it was my turn, she asked me all about myself, and the dreams I want to follow. She told me never to give up on my ambition and that she started to prepare for her job at my age, and it is very difficult at times in her training, but she keeps working hard. She was so happy to talk to everyone and sign copies of her book. Nora inspires me.? I want to be as passionate about what I choose to do with my life as Nora is.

I give this book 10/10! ?? By Ava Harrison.

Thanks for sending us in your great recommendation Ava! Norah is certainly a very inspirational Irish lady! This is definitely a book for all those who dream of visiting space!!

Have you ever created a READING DEN?

They only have to last a few hours so don't worry you won't need cement and bricks!

Some items you might need are: your IMAGINATION, cushions, sheets, some paper or cardboard ! You can set up by creating a cubby-hole with cushions, in a corner, under a table, behind the sofa or maybe even in the garden
:0 ?

Let your imagination take you somewhere special. Your reading den can be the cosiest cave or the creepiest castle! Once you have set up you can add in a blanket, maybe a torch and of course the BOOKS!

Good Luck !!
