This fortnight we are celebrating our very first virtual Diversity Fortnight at Citywest ETNS. We have so many families that add to our school’s window to the world & we want to celebrate with you, our school community!

We will be asking you to share your knowledge of food, language and inspirational people from other countries. We really hope you will take part and we can get to learn more about each other together!

Take a look at the powerpoint slides below to see the activities we have suggested for you each day. You can use the submission form to send in your activities to share with us.  We can't wait to see them :)

Friday

Take some time to watch/listen to other pupils’ presentations today.
Be sure to tell them what you found interesting or ask some more questions!

Tuesday:  Bake or cook some food that you and your family typically eat. Take a photo and let us know where the dish is originally from.

Wednesday:  Learn to say Hello, goodbye, please and thank you in another language.  There are some examples in the videos to the right where Ted, Ice Cream and Emily are teaching French, German and Spanish.

However, you can also use www.duolingo.com/ if you want to learn a language other than these languages.  Maybe you might like to learn Finnish, Swedish or Mandarin Chinese.

Thursday:    Learn how to count from 1-10 ( or more if you want to) in another language.  There are some examples in the audio clips on the bottom right. However, you can use www.duolingo.com/ if you want to learn a language other than French, German or Spanish.

Friday:  Pick a country of your choice to do some research on.  Here are some of the links to websites that you might find useful.  Tell us about the country you have chosen and the reason(s) why you have chosen it.
