School-Home Communication

Most home-school communication for our school is electronic - via our website, via e-mail and via text.

Please make sure to check our website and your e-mail regularly so that you keep up-to-date. Once you have read an e-mail from us, please click to acknowledge receipt so that we know you have received it.

While we aim to reduce the number of paper notes sent home, there will be times when it is necessary. If you think you may have missed a note, please check with Nicola, our school secretary, either in person or via e-mail.

It is your responsibility to make sure that we have up-to-date contact details for you. Please use the button below to let us know if any details have changed.

School Office Closed Today
Please note that the school office is closed today. We had a break-in over the weekend. As we never keep money on the premises, nothing was gained by the intruders. We are also confident that there was no data protection breach. However, there was significant damage done to the office and so Nicola is working out of Caitriona's office today. Thank you for your understanding and patience.

Attendance
Please try to bring your child to school every day that it is possible to do so. Please support one another in doing that e.g. by car pooling, offering a lift to those who don't have a car or by bringing a child to school whose parent needs to stay at home with a sick sibling. We have 47 children absent from school today, giving us our lowest attendance to date since we all returned from summer break.
Of course, if your child has vomited, had diarrhoea, had a temperature or started an antibiotic, he/she should not come to school until at least 24 full hours have passed. Also, if your child has a communicable disease or illness, they should stay at home until the danger period has passed. In this case, you need to notify the school immediately so that we can let others know if necessary.
And of course you should heed weather and travel warnings and keep your family safe, first and foremost.

Our Focus in December
The value we are focusing on in December is RESPECT. (To remind you, we focused on KINDNESS  in September, SAFETY in October and CARING in November. See our Events page for the full list.)
The fundamental movement skill we are focusing on in December is skipping. (We focused on running in November.)
Please use this opportunity to talk about and practice both respect and skipping at home and out and about with your family. Learning means so much more when children hear it from all of their support team - those of us in school and those of you at home also!
