School-Home Communication

Most home-school communication for our school is electronic - via our website, via e-mail and via text.

Please make sure to check our website and your e-mail regularly so that you keep up-to-date. Once you have read an e-mail from us, please click to acknowledge receipt so that we know you have received it.

While we aim to reduce the number of paper notes sent home, there will be times when it is necessary. If you think you may have missed a note, please check with Nicola, our school secretary, either in person or via e-mail.

It is your responsibility to make sure that we have up-to-date contact details for you. Please use the button below to let us know if any details have changed.

Dear parents and guardians,

We are delighted to inform you that Citywest ETNS has been fortunate to receive a full set of tickets for an orchestra experience at the National Concert Hall, Dublin, in November and Third Class are the lucky receivers of this great gift.

As you may be aware, a trip to the orchestra/National Concert Hall is a rare experience for many so this would be a wonderful opportunity for your child to take part in such a privileged outing, and to one of Ireland’s most important cultural institutions.

Further to this, a trip to the orchestra will be an invaluable learning opportunity for the children in terms of music and the arts, and it links strongly with the Music Curriculum for Third Class, as well as the learning which is currently taking place in the classroom this October.

With regards to travel arrangements, Ridgeway coaches have kindly agreed to a discounted fare for the class, meaning that the total cost for a return trip to the event is €4.50 for each child.

In order for this trip to be safe and successful, we will need some help. A number of parent volunteers are thus required to help ensure the children’s general safety throughout the day. If you are interested in helping and available to assist us on the date in question (Friday 6th November 2015), please indicate this on the slip below.

Thanking you for your continued support.

Yours sincerely,

Mary, Class Teacher

Aisling, Trip Organiser

Caitríona, Principal
