School-Home Communication

Most home-school communication for our school is electronic - via our website, via e-mail and via text.

Please make sure to check our website and your e-mail regularly so that you keep up-to-date. Once you have read an e-mail from us, please click to acknowledge receipt so that we know you have received it.

While we aim to reduce the number of paper notes sent home, there will be times when it is necessary. If you think you may have missed a note, please check with Nicola, our school secretary, either in person or via e-mail.

It is your responsibility to make sure that we have up-to-date contact details for you. Please use the button below to let us know if any details have changed.

Dear parent/guardian,
Welcome back to a new school year. I am happy to let you know that Deirdre/Anita/Aisling/Sarah/Aoife will be your child's resource teacher this year. She will spend the next few weeks getting to know your child and will work on key learning targets for him/her.
You will be invited to a meeting in the school in October to discuss an appropriate learning programme for your child.
Your child's class teacher or resource teacher will be in touch in the next couple of weeks to schedule an appointment. The following will be discussed at that meeting:
  • Student’s strengths and interests
  • Priority concerns
  • Possible reasons for concerns
  • Targets for the student
  • Strategies to help the student achieve the targets
Your contributions as parent are valuable. Please reflect on the bullet points above ahead of the meeting in October.
I hope your child is enjoying being back at school.

Kind regards,
Anita Collings
SEN Co-ordinator
