Dear parents and guardians,
The school will be closed on Friday 7th October 2016 as our teachers will be attending professional development in relation to the new language curriculum. This is in addition to the school closure on Monday 26th September, when our teachers will be attending professional development in relation to ASD/Autism.
We apologise for any inconvenience these closures may cause. Our staff members undertake significant amounts of ongoing professional development, most of it taking place outside of the school day. For these two areas of study, the Department of Education and Skills has decided that all teachers in the school should attend together, that it takes a full day to complete and that it warrants school closure. We have not been advised to expect any further closures for professional development in this school year.
