School-Home Communication

Most home-school communication for our school is electronic - via our website, via e-mail and via text.

Please make sure to check our website and your e-mail regularly so that you keep up-to-date. Once you have read an e-mail from us, please click to acknowledge receipt so that we know you have received it.

While we aim to reduce the number of paper notes sent home, there will be times when it is necessary. If you think you may have missed a note, please check with Nicola, our school secretary, either in person or via e-mail.

It is your responsibility to make sure that we have up-to-date contact details for you. Please use the button below to let us know if any details have changed.

18th May 2020: Two Emails to families - Distribution of school books next Monday 25th May/Did you get one invitation to collect your child(ren)'s books?

Dear parents and guardians,
In the last few minutes, you should have received an invitation to collect your child(ren)'s books from the school next Monday.
It has been a significant achievement to turn around plans we worked on for two weeks to comply with last-minute insurance restrictions in just one day. I am so grateful to our staff for the amazing flexibility, teamwork and commitment they have shown.
Of course, I am not expecting that everything went 100% smoothly and so I am writing to everyone now to double-check!
If you have a child in our school in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th class, you should have received one email invitation.
If you have numerous children in the school, you should have received just one invitation.
If you only have children in Junior Infants and/or Senior Infants, you should not have received an invitation as there are no books for you to collect.
If you should have received an invitation and didn't or if you received more than one invitation, please reply to this email to let us know.
If all is in order, please do not reply at all as we would like to focus our energies on the areas that need to be fixed.
All the best,
Caitriona.

Dear parents and guardians,
We are delighted to let you know that we have found a way to distribute books, within the limits of school insurance.
The books for your family can be collected from (place) (time) on Monday 25th May 2020.
It is not possible to distribute them any earlier or later than that, nor to do so on another day.
If you can't get to the school at that time next Monday, you can have another person collect the books for you.

Instructions for access
If you are walking, please use the path to the RIGHT/LEFT of the gate as you enter the campus.
If you are driving, you can park in the staff car park.
Please use the markings on the path to aid distancing from others. Please wait patiently.
Please check other guidelines here.

See you then.
Caitriona.
