Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are pleased to announce the beginning of a programme of educational experiences designed to increase our children’s understanding of, and appreciation for, a variety of belief systems. It is our hope that during their time at Citywest ETNS, each child will have the opportunity to meet with a religious leader and/or visit the place of worship of each of the main world religions, as well as some non-theistic belief systems.
This year, Second Class will have the opportunity to visit the Islamic Foundation of Ireland at their mosque on South Circular Road. The trip is planned for Wednesday 20th January. At the mosque, the children will learn about the 5 pillars of Islam. They will have an opportunity to see some items of significance to Islam, as well as speaking with a leader of the community to ask him some questions.
In order for this trip to be safe and successful, we need your help. We need a number of parent volunteers to accompany the group. If you are available to help out on the day, please complete the form below.
