School-Home Communication

Most home-school communication for our school is electronic - via our website, via e-mail and via text.

Please make sure to check our website and your e-mail regularly so that you keep up-to-date. Once you have read an e-mail from us, please click to acknowledge receipt so that we know you have received it.

While we aim to reduce the number of paper notes sent home, there will be times when it is necessary. If you think you may have missed a note, please check with Nicola, our school secretary, either in person or via e-mail.

It is your responsibility to make sure that we have up-to-date contact details for you. Please use the button below to let us know if any details have changed.

Please help out at our Food Fair for One Day Together!

Dear Parents/Guardians,
We are delighted to announce an International Food Fair as a fundraiser for Educate Together's annual One Day Together. Educate Together is our patron body and we are delighted to support the crucial work they do in supporting existing schools and establishing new ones around the country.

The Food Fair will take place in the PE Hall next Friday 6th October. Families are asked to prepare a dish that is native to their home country. Each class will visit the fair and taste a selection of the dishes on offer. A cover charge of €3 per child (€5 per family)will be charged at the door, giving them access to a World of Flavour!

We need your help! We will need people to man the tables on the day. The Food Fair will open from 10.30-1.30 for children from the various classes to visit. If you would be available to help out with this on the day, please fill out the form below. Without your help, exciting events like this would not be possible!

Please send an empty lunchbox to school with your child on the day, as well as their usual school lunch. This will make it easier for your child to collect a sample of the foods on offer. It is also very important that you make your child aware of any allergies that they may have, so that they can avoid foods that contain those allergens.

Families who contribute dishes to the festival will be asked to fill in a small card with the name of the dish and any relevant allergen information.

Bon Appetit!

Hi,

I was wondering, does junior infants have to bring some food for food fair as well? Are they going just to sample food or they are going to serve to others the food they would bring? Can i (mother) come over as well to be with her?

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Regards
Rasa

Hi Rasa,
We are asking families to send in a dish that we can serve to the community. The PE Hall door will be open to receive the dishes in the morning.
Parents of Junior Infant children will be welcome to visit the fair and fill up a lunch box with their child after collecting their child at the end of the day.
Looking forward to seeing you there.
Regards,
Aoife
