Today First Class had a very special visitor. An archaeologist named Dr. Thomas Kador came to talk to us about his job and about the history of Saggart. We learned so much about Saggart and had a great time playing at being archaeologists and engineers. Visit our class website to watch a video of all the interesting places we visited. Senior Infants love to write and now we are exploring different ways to write with our new Writing Area. Have a look at it on the Senior Infant website.
First Class have started learning spellings for homework. We have been thinking of tricks to help us remember words that we use a lot. Read more about SACAWAC on the First Class website. Today was a very special day in the history of Citywest ETNS. We had our very first Assembly. Two Junior Infant classes, Senior Infants and First Class got together for a little chat with Caitríona and then we said a nursery rhyme. Check out the Senior Infant website for news on how we got on during Science Week as well as the new poems and rhymes we have been learning the actions and words to.
Altogether, each class will have a chance to perform at least four different experiments during the course of this week. They are: 1. Lava Lamps, 2. Egg floating/sinking, 3. Dancing raisins, 4. Static Electricity. For more details on how each experiment is carried out; head over to our resident Science Expert, Maggie's class page.
Check out each class website to see more detail about the experiments they have been doing and how they have gotten on. |
