All welcome to our Teddy Bears' Picnic on Friday at 10.45am. Bring your own food, blanket and of course a teddy. School closes for the summer at 11.30am on Friday. We would like to inform you that Senior Infants will be completing the sensitive themes of the Relationships, Sexuality Education programme on Monday 24th and Wednesday 26th June 2013 between 8.30am and 10am.
These themes are a part of the National Curriculum and covered as part of Social, Personal and Health Education. The following link provides information on where parents and guardians can gain more information: http://www.ecdrumcondra.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=229%3Arse-prim&catid=35%3Agraphic-design&Itemid=79 Each class has their own specific themes to be covered. In Senior Infants we will be looking at ‘My Body’. If you do not wish your child to be present during these lessons you have the choice to take them out of school at that time, but it is then your responsibility to ensure it is covered at home. Dear Parent(s) / Guardian(s), On various dates over the coming weeks we have our new families visiting the school with their children to prepare them for starting in our school in September. In order to make these visits run as smoothly as possible we are reminding all parents / guardians that their children need to be collected from school at 1.10pm sharp. This allows us to ensure your child gets to their designated collector and makes sure we are then free to give our full attention to new families at the time of their scheduled visit. We appreciate your help in making this important transition for the new children as relaxed, efficient and comfortable as possible. Mise le meas, Ross Ó Corráin Acting Principal This letter went home on Friday.
