As indicated by the Minister, all children are expected to return, other than those in high risk categories. There will be staggered arrival and dismissal and we intend to facilitate families in that to make it easier for parents i.e. siblings will be expected to arrive at the same time rather than at different times.
The office will reopen in late August and incoming emails will be checked then.
We appreciate your patience and trust in giving us time to fine-tune our plans. While we will do our best to create a thorough plan, we fully expect there to be unexpected events and areas not considered and we trust that our community will work together in highlighting and addressing those.
For now, a reminder of our Summer Survival page, which includes advice on preparing your child for returning to school. I suggest not going into too much detail with your children about the recent announcements. Worrying about what might happen will only rob the children of their summer and won't help their return. Remind them that they go to a happy school with good teachers who care about them and will work to keep them safe AND happy!
All the best,
Caitriona.
