A Green Team

As the cold evenings draw in and the weather gets colder, we are already thinking ahead to next Spring time. Our school garden and the beds in the carpark would be so much more welcoming if they were filled with bright and colourful flowers. So we have come together with Scoil Níamh to arrange a Gardening Day. We will have a Gardener come in and work with the children of both schools, to put in a hard day’s work in planting up our beds!
But first, we need your help! **We need both people power and supplies!**
Can you spare an hour or two to prepare the beds in the carpark for new plants? This would involve digging out any weeds or dead plants and leaving the bed clear and ready for new planting.

1. Or do you have, or can you get, any of the following supplies?
   1. hand trowels/ forks
   2. packets/ bags of bulbs (labeled): snowdrops, daffodils, hyacinth, bluebells, early crocuses?
   3. bales of peat-free compost
2. Or maybe you can help us on the day of the planting, helping children to plant bulbs, and generally helping in the smooth running of the day? The exact date has not yet been confirmed, but if we are able to gather all of the supplies we need, we are hoping to have our gardening day in the third week of November (16-20 November)
