We would ask all families using the car park to take care and consideration for the safe passage of pedestrians and traffic through the car parking area at all times.
Here are some guidelines for the safe use of our school car park to ensure continued success and safety:
• Always ensure that vehicle speeds are low on entering, passing through and exiting. Please remember that as well as cars there are families walking through the car park.
• Reverse into and drive out of the assigned spaces.
• If dropping off your child pull up carefully at the pavement and be sure the passage is clear before pulling off.
• When walking your child to school, if possible use the Luas entrance and pedestrian crossing to the pavements. If you need to walk through the car park please encourage your child to stop at edge of pavement, to look and listen for vehicles and only to cross when it is safe to do so.
As our school grows the car park will get much busier each day and we have a great opportunity this year to get car park safety right for future years. With a view to making the car park a safer place for all, please remind and encourage fellow drivers of the safety measures which are in place. If you are concerned about unsafe behaviours in the car park, please let us know.
