Dear Parents/Guardians,
On Friday 27th of March a disco to celebrate the end of term will take place during the school day. The children have the option to arrive at school in fancy dress costumes.
This is a fundraising event being hosted by the Parents' Association.
The money raised from this event will go towards our school joining ReCreate. This company involves the school paying an annual fee of €200 which gives us unlimited access to arts and crafts resources for the school. Recreate are themselves a social enterprise, which sources their material from surplus and end of line stock from other businesses – thus allowing companies dispose of their materials in an environmentally aware fashion. For the school to join Recreate would be both economical and fitting with the school ethos, that of care for the environment. More information can be found on recreate.ie. Any further monies collected will be put towards Irish week for the school, whereby the school can purchase materials/resources directly relating to celebrating all that is Irish!
We are requesting a €3 donation from each child. Your child's teacher will collect the money from the children on arrival at their classroom on the day of the disco.
Please show your support by donating – if every child gives €3 we will raise close to €500 – all donations welcome!!
The end of term disco is becoming a great fun tradition at our school and we look forward to seeing all the super dance moves again!
Any parents who would like to help out on the day please email the Parents Association: [email protected]
Kind regards,
