Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),
It has been a very busy and productive year so far, so thank you for your support to date.
On Wednesday 8th May 2013 at 19:00 (7pm) we will be holding a meeting for the parents in our school community. The meeting will provide information on setting up two groups in our school, a parent association and a fundraising committee.
The parent association is for all parents in the school, but is usually organised by a committee. We hope that as many of you as possible will get involved in the work of the parent association. We invite you to the meeting to discuss how we set this up in the school, the responsibilities of a parents’ association and how to elect a committee. We hope you will elect this committee on the night.
Attached is more information from the National Parents Council (NPC) and Sharon Hayden from the NPC will be there on the night to talk to us more about the work of a parents' association. You can find more information on their website www.npc.ie
You may also be interested in working on fundraising as part of the fundraising committee. Or you may have a really good fundraising idea to put forward. This will also be discussed at the meeting.
You can be involved in both committees or one or just come along to find out more on the night.
We hope to see you there.
